Gemstone Series Auxiliary Condenser

A high efficiency condenser that can improve any short path, our auxiliary condenser is used as an intermediate condenser that is placed right before the cold trap on a short path kit. Fully jacketed with scalloped tubing and an inner coil for more surface area. Using a small chiller to circulate through the jacket at ~5°C is good to knock down most of the water vapor and volatile fractions. This prevents your main vacuum trap from being overloaded and allows much faster progression through volatile fractions without worry of contaminating your pump. This "pre cold trap" is used instead of multiple cold traps, so only one trap and immersion chiller is needed. 

Gemstone model includes coil inside also for additional cooling power. 

Use with our double dewar trap for optional results.
